Problems

Problems with your braces can be classified as either breakages or emergencies.
A breakage is where the appliance you are wearing has come loose, broken or is not fitting as it did but it is not hurting you. The best course of action is to wait for the next work day and contact the practice to have the problem fixed. Please do not wait until the next scheduled appointment.

An emergency is something you are wearing has come loose, broken etc. and is hurting you. The best course of action is to phone the practice and get the on call number. Then call the Orthodontist on call for advice. It may be that a visit to the practice is required though quite often over the phone advice will be sufficient.
